Notes on Selecting Suitable Lenses:

  • The quality of a video picture depends on the optical features of the lenses as well as on the camera features. It is not possible to describe all parameters defining the lens quality, such as relative spectral transmission (permeability to light) or resolution etc. within this price list. Our technical data are restricted to the parameters which are usually found in the documentation of our competitors. However, these parameters are not sufficient for a qualitative rating of lenses. We have therefore classified our lens series, e.g. "IR-Coated Auto Iris Lenses" for applications with infrared-sensitive cameras.
  • All auto iris lenses are supplied with pre-mounted standard connectors to the camera fittingmost of the GEUTEBRÜCK cameras.

Exception: The particularly light sensitive high-speed motor zoom lenses.

Selection of the Correct Lens Format Fittingthe Camera (CCD Chip Size):

  • 1 inch lenses may be combined with 1 inch, 2/3 inch, 1/2inch and 1/3 inch cameras
  • 2/3inch lenses may be combined with2/3 inch, 1/2 inch and 1/3 inch cameras
  • 1/2 inch lenses may be combined with 1/2 ínch and 1/3 inch cameras
  • 1/3 inch lenses may only be combined with1/3 inch cameras
  • Within this price list all specifications for the angle of view for 1/3 inch chips refer to a chip diameter of 6 mm.

The angle of view depends on the combination of lens format / chip format used.

If a 6 mm lens is used with a 1/2 inch camera a horizontal angle of view of56,1° is achieved. Ifyouuse the same lens with a 1/3 inch camera, a horizontal angle of view of only43,6° is achieved. The calculation of the vertical angle of view results in a corresponding relationship.

The visible picture area will be smaller using a 1/3 inch camera due to the smaller area of the CCD chip.

Please note the differences between C mount and CS mount:

  • C mount lenses may be combined with C mount cameras and - in conjunction with a C/CS mount adapter ring, with CS mount cameras.
  • CS mount lensesmay only be used with CS mount cameras!

Distinguish between Indoor Use and Outdoor Use:

  • For indoor applicationsless expensive manual lenses may be used together with cameras equipped with an integrated automatic shutter.
  • Auto iris lenses are generally designed for indoor and outdoor applications. The GEUTEBRÜCK series provides three typesof auto iris lenses:
  • Video signal controlled lenses with integrated iris amplifier(AI)
  • Direct-controlled lenses without integrated iris amplifier, so-called DC lenses (AI-DC)
  • IR-coated lenses for infrared-sensitive cameras, such as GVK-132 and GVK-132/DC in combination with suitable infrared illuminators.
