GeViSoft
Control software package for the GeViControl
security management system. The software supports
client-server architecture in conjunction with
ViCros III video matrices, digital video recording
systems MultiScope II/III or digital video system
platforms GeViScope.
For operating the software we recommend to use our
control PC GeViStation (0.34041). PC monitor,
mouse, keyboard have to be ordered separately.
Minimum recommended hardware requirements:
INTEL D945 motherboard, Celeron processor
LGA775 with 2.0 GHz or better, 512 MB DDR2 RAM,
on board graphic card with VGA output, 80 GB S-ATA
hard disk, 1 GBit ethernet on board, 3 x RS-232,
2 x RS-422, 4 x USB 2.0 (2 front/2 rear),
operating system Windows 2000, Windows XP embedded
or Windows 2003 Server.
- Transparent graphical interface in complex security architectures
- Information only presented when relevant
- Connection of sub-systems via open interfaces
- Centrally controlled, networked digital picture recording and remote control
- Networked video matrix control with video routing
- Central administration and setup of all system ressources

GeViSoft Security Management Software
Security management system for controlling
security systems and their digital and
analog peripherals.
The system has the following basic
characteristics:
Modern client/server architecture based on
a current Microsoft operating system and latest
communication standards (Windows 7).
Client/server structure with any number of
clients to control the peripherals. Data exchange
on the basis of TCP/IP. The integrated activity
database logs all system events to be able to
reconstruct what happened at a later point.
Direct coupling to any business and enterprise
video surveillance systems re_porter,
GeViScope and GeViStore.
No practically relevant resource restrictions
on inputs, outputs, workstations and users.
Flexible programming interface (TCP/IP-based)
for integration with other software components
of security and building management systems.
Remote administration using GeViSet via LAN/WAN
connections possible.
Extensive support and commissioning tools
(GeViAPITestClient).
Direct coupling to the MultiMap interface for
manual control of all GeViSoft resources or for
notification of any number of users using state
changes in the system.
Direct coupling with the security information
management system G-SIM for efficient and
interactive alarm management in extremely
complex control scenarios.
The following control and administration tasks
can be realized:
Complete control of the video matrix system
VX3 with virtually unlimited number of cameras
and monitors. VSM interface for analyzing video
failure.
Support for a large number of serial interfaces
and protocols for control of the system and for
system integration.
Forwarding and distribution of alarm information
(events) from all connected video sensor systems
(e.g. G-Tect/VMX, VMD, AD).
Practically any number of potential-free
digitaler inputs and outputs
(GeViS-Contact-16/8, GeViContact).
Control of image recording or other resources
that can be controlled via events of all
connected video surveillance systems such as
GeViStore, GeViScope or re_porter or vice versa.
Ability to use image recording devices linked to
events to control GeViSoft resources.
Event-based and manual telemetry of connected
dome camera systems from different vendors.
Diverse logical links of events and activities.
Sophisticated alarm handling with a large number
of confirmation and acknowledgment mechanisms.
Comprehensive rights management for the user
access rights for system resources.
(Two-person passwords, camera, monitor, output
blocking lists for restriction of access, special
user rights for system-critical functions.) Time
periods (calendar function) for flexible control
of all processes depending on holidays or other
schedules.
Diverse tools for adapting the system to a wide
range of project requirements (e.g. system timers
for a switch-on or switch-off delay or periodic
execution of procedures).
Integrated video routing for networking
distributed matrix systems.
MBeg interface for compatibility with ViCroSoft
operating units.
Database with a flexible query interface for
separate collection of all system activities and
alarms. Each process can be completely
reconstructed.
A number of special functions from the area of
video surveillance (e.g. monitor cycles, camera
tours). Provide easy time synchronization of all
peripherals connected to the system.
